NJS Design Event & Party Rentals is a family owned business located in Clinton Ontario.  We supply rentals to the special event industry in Mid-Western Ontario.

Both Full time and Part time positions available.  Students are welcome to apply

We are looking for a dynamic and energetic go-getter to join our growing team. This position has the unique opportunity to work in every department of our rental operation – which include rental prep, table/chair, linen processing and setups/teardowns. Every day will be unique!

This position can be a very hectic in our busy season, so we require someone who is willing to go the extra mile when we are busy. Someone that catches on quickly, gets along well with others and enjoys being part of a busy accuracy driven team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Count and process rental returns including dishes, table, chairs and linens.
• Uphold the quality control standards of the company.
• Be respectful of client’s confidentiality and exercise discretion.

Education, Skills and Attributes

• Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Friendly, energetic, a positive attitude and a team player
• Self-Starter, ability to take a project from inception to completion.
• Strong Mathematical skills, strong communication skills
• Professional, dependable, flexible, and takes ownership
• Ability to adapt to changing demands in a fast paced environment

Although not required, being fully vaccinated re COVID19 will be an asset. We know these restrictions are relaxed at the moment however we need to be prepared to be able to serve our customer if facilities require these again.

Nature of the Work:

• The work is typically very physical and demanding, both from strength requirements and the stamina required. 
• There is a high degree of lifting and a significant degree of standing, walking, bending and transporting objects of various weights and dimensions.
• Will help customers and delivery personnel load and unload vehicles.  Will also help maintain inventory.  Shipping and receiving functions, from light to heavy, are also performed.  Daily use of washer, dryers and flatwork ironers and  pass- thru dishwasher which release hot air/steam.  Exposure to above average temperatures is prevalent.

Working Conditions:           

Most work will be indoors with general warehouse conditions, in which some work areas may not be air conditioned.  The typical tools (hampers, dollies, racks, etc.) can be considered hazards.  Most mechanical equipment used (flatwork ironers, laundry machines) are electrical and may be gas fired.  The exposure to moving belts is continuous in the ironing function.  This job requires constant interaction with co-workers and with the public.

Hours & Compensation:

• Full Time Positions Monday-Thursdays 7-4 pm with some Sunday am as required
• Part Time Positions available. Monday, Tuesday & Wednesdays 7am -4pm
• Both positions have some Sunday mornings for teardowns as required
• To start end of May till October 15th

• Base Rate Starting at $17.50/ hr, additional for qualifications and experience.
• Regular raises based on merit, performance and work ethic
